PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

ALKEMIST™ GlycoFlow 30 is a premium, ready-to-use industrial heat transfer fluid formulated with 30% ethylene glycol and a specialized corrosion inhibitor package. It is designed to provide heat transfer performance, freeze protection and corrosion control in closed-loop water-based systems.

GlycoFlow 30 is supplied as a pre-mixed solution and normally requires no further dilution. The formulation provides freezing protection to approximately -15°C (5°F) while maintaining efficient heat transfer properties for industrial heating, cooling and thermal circulation applications.

The fluid is compatible with steel, cast iron, copper, brass, stainless steel and aluminum up to 60°C. Use with galvanized steel or zinc components should be avoided because glycol may react with the zinc coating.

CORROSION PROTECTION

GlycoFlow 30 contains a balanced inhibitor system designed to protect common system metals from corrosion, scaling and cavitation.

The inhibitor package is intended for systems containing:

• Steel
• Cast iron
• Copper
• Brass
• Stainless steel
• Aluminum up to 60°C

Important: Avoid using GlycoFlow 30 with galvanized steel or zinc components because glycol may react with the zinc coating.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

1. System Cleaning: Before introducing GlycoFlow 30, flush the system with water to remove loose debris, rust and old fluid residue.
2. Filling: GlycoFlow 30 is supplied as a pre-mixed solution. Do not dilute further unless required by the system’s engineering specification, because dilution will increase the freezing point and reduce inhibitor concentration.
3. Maintenance: Periodically inspect the fluid for pH and clarity, preferably on an annual basis. Replace the fluid if the pH falls below 6.0 or if the fluid becomes visibly contaminated.

STORAGE AND HANDLING

Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.

The stated shelf life is approximately 2 years when stored in sealed original containers.

Wear suitable personal protective equipment during handling, including protective gloves and safety glasses or chemical goggles. Avoid breathing mist or vapors and wash hands and exposed areas thoroughly after handling.

SAFETY INFORMATION

The formulation contains ethylene glycol. The Safety Data Sheet classifies the product for:

• Acute Toxicity (Oral): Category 4
• Specific Target Organ Toxicity – Repeated Exposure: Category 2 (Kidney)

H302: Harmful if swallowed.

H373: May cause damage to organs (Kidney) through prolonged or repeated exposure.

Do not eat, drink or smoke while using the product. If swallowed, rinse the mouth, do not induce vomiting and seek immediate medical or poison-center advice.

Not intended for human consumption.
