Usage notes
Use neat (undiluted). Apply via targeted spraying, brushing, or wiping. Allow sufficient time for the solvent to dissolve heavy polymers before wiping clean or flushing. Ensure rigorous ventilation.
Applications
Comprehensive cleaning of plastic injection molds, rubber dies, PU/epoxy resin molds, extrusion tooling, ejector pins, die-casting molds, and CNC machined surfaces.
- Aggressive solvency for cured resins and burnt polymers, restores smooth mechanical movement in ejector pins, fast-evaporating, leaves zero residue.
Safety & documents
Flame
Flammable materials, self-reactives, and pyrophorics.
Health Hazard
Carcinogen, respiratory sensitizer, and target-organ risks.
Exclamation Mark
Irritation, sensitization, or less severe acute hazards.
- Storage Condition
- Store in a cool, dry, and exceptionally well-ventilated industrial environment. Keep strictly away from heat, sparks, open flames, and incompatible materials.

Product description
ALKEMIST™ Heavy Duty Solvent-Based Mold Cleaner
The Heavy Duty Solvent-Based Mold Cleaner is a premium, industrial-strength chemical formulation engineered by ALKEMIST™ | Water and Chemicals Solutions (SMC-PVT) LIMITED. Designed specifically for the rigorous demands of the tooling, die, and mold-making industries, this aggressive solvent blend rapidly penetrates, dissolves, and flushes away the most stubborn production residues, ensuring optimal mold performance and extending tooling lifespan.
Comprehensive Industrial Applications
This highly versatile solvent cleaner is expertly formulated to tackle a wide spectrum of severe industrial contaminants across various manufacturing sectors:
Plastic Injection Molding Molds: Highly effective for the rapid removal of baked-on silicone-based mold release agents, stubborn burnt polymer residues, and hard carbon deposits from intricate mold cavities and core pins.
Rubber & Silicone Molding Dies: Aggressively cleans uncured silicone, vulcanized rubber flash, and sticky elastomeric compound residues from compression and transfer molds.
Polyurethane (PU) & Epoxy Resin Molds: Formulated to dissolve and clear stubborn resin buildup, polyurethane foam residues, sealants, and reactive adhesives from casting molds before they cause dimensional defects.
Extrusion Dies & Tooling: Easily strips degraded polymers, thermal degradation byproducts, and sticky compounding residues from complex profile and sheet extrusion dies.
Mold Ejector Pins & Sliding Mechanisms: Features excellent capillary action to deeply penetrate tight tolerances around guide pins, ejector pins, and slides that have been gummed up by degraded lubricants and polymer off-gassing, instantly restoring smooth mechanical movement.
Metal Die Casting & Forging Dies: Cuts through and degreases heavy stamping oils, baked-on graphite lubricants, anti-seize compounds, and thermal carbonization from aluminum, zinc, and steel casting dies.
Packaging & Converting Machinery: Efficiently cleans hot-melt adhesives, cold glues, packing tape residues, and general industrial buildup from production rollers, cutter blades, and guide rails.
3D Printing & CNC Machined Surfaces: Safely removes uncured UV resins, tacky support material residues, and heavy cutting fluid films from metal print beds, fixtures, and precision tooling components.
Detailed Application Methodology
To achieve peak cleaning efficiency without risking damage to precision tooling, follow these application guidelines:
Surface Preparation: Ensure molds and dies are cooled to a safe handling temperature before application to prevent rapid solvent flash-off and hazardous fumes.
Application: Apply the solvent neat (100% undiluted) via a chemical-resistant industrial sprayer, or by saturating a lint-free shop cloth. For deep cavities or gummy ejector pins, flush the area generously.
Agitation & Removal: Allow the solvent 1 to 3 minutes to penetrate and soften cured resins and burnt plastics. Use a soft, non-marring brass or nylon brush to agitate stubborn deposits. Flush again or wipe entirely clean with a fresh lint-free cloth.
Strict Safety & Handling Precautions
DANGER: HIGHLY FLAMMABLE LIQUID AND VAPOR.
Ventilation & Fire Safety: Use only in exceptionally well-ventilated industrial areas. Keep strictly away from open flames, sparks, hot molding equipment, and running CNC machinery. Do not spray onto hot dies.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Operators must wear heavy-duty solvent-resistant gloves (e.g., Nitrile or Viton), chemical splash goggles, and an appropriate organic vapor respirator when spraying in confined spaces.
