ALKEMIST ALK-DC-2.0 Industrial Mold Degreaser | Precision Tool & Die Cleaner

For Mold Preparation (Removing Storage Coatings):
​Generously apply ALK-DC-2.0 to the mold surface using an aerosol spray, manual trigger sprayer, or saturated lint-free cloth.
​Allow the solvent a few seconds to break down the waxy or greasy protective coating.
​Wipe the mold face clean with a dry, lint-free industrial wipe.
​For tight crevices and ejector pins, spray directly into the gaps to flush out contaminants.
​Allow the solvent to flash-dry entirely before closing the mold or applying high heat. Compressed air may be used to accelerate drying in deep pockets.
​For In-Press Cleaning:
​Ensure the mold is cool or below 50°C (122°F) before application (Do not spray on highly heated molds due to flammability).
​Spray lightly onto the affected area to remove resin buildup or grease.
​Wipe immediately.

​Incompatible Materials:
​Plastics & Elastomers: As a powerful solvent, ALK-DC-2.0 may attack, craze, or soften certain sensitive plastics (e.g., Polycarbonate, Acrylic, ABS) and rubber seals (natural rubber, Buna-N). Do not use for cleaning plastic parts; it is strictly for metal tooling. Spot testing is required if using near rubber O-rings.

Injection Molding: Removing rust preventatives and protective coatings before hanging molds in the press.
​Die Casting: Cleaning release agents and lubricants from metal die-casting tools.
​Preventative Maintenance: Flushing dirt, hydraulic fluid, and degraded grease from ejector pins and slides.
​Surface Preparation: Cleaning metal surfaces prior to the application of fresh anti-rust agents or dry film lubricants.
​Extrusion & Thermoforming: Cleaning calibration tooling, dies, and vacuum forming molds.
​General Tool Room: Degreasing precision measuring instruments, gauges, and CNC machined components.
